Bill Baker has coached at Mountain Pointe since the day the school opened. He helped coach a Mickey Mantle team in 1991 with players from the area that would attend the school when it opened in 1992. That team made it to the Western Regionals but unfortunately was eliminated. For two years before that Bill helped coach baseball at Centennial Middle School. Most of those kids ended up playing at Mountain Pointe. Bill played in high school himself, as well as in men's leagues for years. Coach Baker reports that the high and low point of his career at Mountain Pointe was the state championship game against Horizon High School in 1995. Getting there was very difficult but fun. Losing was very painful at the same time. mailto:bbaker@horizononline.com
